Independent crypto research for people who want honest answers, not hype.
Bitcoin Global exists to help everyday investors make informed decisions about cryptocurrency. The crypto space is full of noise — influencers shilling coins, exchanges hiding fees in fine print, and "experts" who are really just marketers. We wanted to build something different.
Our research team tests every platform we review. We open real accounts, deposit real money, execute real trades, and evaluate the experience from start to finish. When we say an exchange has slow customer support, it's because we submitted a ticket and timed the response. When we say a wallet's setup takes 10 minutes, it's because we set it up ourselves.
We create accounts, deposit funds, and test every platform ourselves. No armchair reviews. If we haven't used it, we don't review it.
We publish our rating criteria. You can see exactly how we score each platform on fees, security, features, and user experience.
We earn commissions from some links on this site. We always disclose this, and our compensation never influences our ratings or rankings.
Crypto moves fast. We re-test and update our reviews quarterly to make sure our information reflects the current state of each platform.
Transparency matters to us, so here's exactly how this site generates revenue:
When you click certain links on our site and sign up for a crypto exchange or purchase a hardware wallet, we may receive a commission from that company. This is a standard practice in the financial review industry, and it's what allows us to keep our content free.
Here's what doesn't happen: Companies cannot pay us to improve their rating. They cannot pay to be listed first. They cannot pay to suppress negative findings. Our editorial team operates independently from our business team. Period.
If a product is bad, we say so — even if we have an affiliate relationship with the company. You'll notice that some products in our reviews have affiliate links and some don't. We include products based on merit, not on whether they have a partner program.
Every exchange and wallet review uses a consistent scoring framework. Here's what we evaluate and how each category is weighted:
| Category | Weight | What We Evaluate |
|---|---|---|
| Fees | 25% | Trading fees, deposit/withdrawal costs, hidden spreads, fee tiers |
| Security | 25% | Hack history, insurance, cold storage %, 2FA options, regulatory compliance |
| Features | 20% | Coin selection, staking, advanced orders, educational resources |
| User Experience | 15% | Interface design, mobile app quality, onboarding speed |
| Customer Support | 15% | Response time, support channels, resolution quality |
Each category is scored from 1 to 5, weighted according to the table above, and combined into a final score. We believe fees and security deserve the most weight because those are the factors that have the biggest real impact on your money.
